Abstract

The Framework Agreement is for the supply of extension sets and lines including micro, narrow and wide bore sets. Extension sets are used to deliver intravenous fluids and medication. Extension sets can be used with a syringe pump, for providing an access point for injection by syringe, to extend a giving set, to complete the connection from a fluid or blood warmer to the patient.

It is anticipated that in the first 24 months of the Framework Agreement the value of purchases will be in the region of 20 000 000 GBP to 30 000 000 GBP. For the full 48 month term (if extended) the anticipated value is between 40 000 000 GBP and 60 000 000 GBP. These values are approximate only and are based on the most recent historical usage information. The values provided are for guidance only and are not a guarantee of business.

NHS Supply Chain anticipates appointing all applicants who meet the minimum requirements which are set out in the tender documents and whose total score meets or exceeds a hurdle of 40 % at tender evaluation stage to the relevant line of the Framework Agreement.
