Abstract

Provision of building works and associated services, including maintenance. The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine have an estimated 70 000 000 GBP programme over 7 years. Typical call-off contract values range from 250 000 GBP — 10 000 000 GBP. These figures cannot in any circumstances be guaranteed and nor should they be taken as a minimum or maximum amount.

It is envisaged that projects are likely to focus on the following within the Contracting Authority’s estate:

— internal fitting out works and alterations to student spaces,

— infrastructure replacement,

— administration and office accommodation,

— catering facilities,

— laboratories – containment Level 3,

— decanting of staff/fixtures and fittings,

— refurbishment of specialist teaching/research laboratories,

— libraries.

Contracting Authorities with access to this Framework Agreement may require different project types such as accommodation.

Please note that refurbishment work in the laboratories is of a highly technical nature, requiring extensive relevant skills and experience. In addition, the refurbishment works generally take place in occupied buildings with other research activities ongoing nearby, requiring careful planning and execution of the works so that no research is interrupted. Due to the criticality of these research activities an ability to react and resource promptly to address technical issues that threaten research continuity is required.
