The contract is to to provide a step down service for a minimum of 3 patients at anyone time to the Trust, though there may be a instances where there are additional bed requirements which can be agreed outside these standard requirements if mutually convenient. The facility needs to be accessible for this purpose 365 days a year.

The patients cared for at this facility will have recent spinal cord injuries and will have been in the Hospital setting and prior to their movement to the step down facility will have achieved medical stability, each patient will stay for a maximum of 12 weeks.
