Abstract

Road harm counselling for victims and witnesses as identified by Voice for Victims and Witnesses Ltd.

The supplier shall we be expected:

— to provide an end to end service, as and when required, to meet the needs of Victims and Witnesses of RH collisions;

— to provide or enable through clearly defined pathways, practical, emotional and therapeutic support that enables victims, witnesses and their families to cope and recover;

— to liaise directly with the victim (in the case of serious injury), their family (in the event of death) in arranging access to suitable support services including legal support available when attending coroners’ court;

— to liaise directly with the coroner’s office and pro-bono legal coordinator (already in place) to support families bereaved as a result of road traffic collisions’ and ensure coroner’s office, victims’ family and solicitors’ are kept up to date with developments;

— to provide face to face support through a network of qualified counsellors;

— to systematically gather feedback from victims and witness about their experience of the service and use this feedback to inform Voice, for areas and ideas for improvement.

Voice is the brand to be used at all times.

The contract is offered as a 3-year + 1 + 1.
