Explanation
This procurement for ventilators is to provide Belfast Health and Social Care Trust with additional essential lifesaving equipment to support the immediate needs of the Critical Care Unit in meeting the unforeseen, short-term needs to care for Covid-19 patients. This procurement is in the public interest and is required urgently to provide essential life saving equipment in these exceptional circumstances to enable the Critical Care Unit to meet the unforeseen, short-term public health risk for Covid-19 patient care surge requirements.
