Abstract
The project aims to produce a holistic review of nutrition management in cucurbit production to reduce the incidence and severity of Blossom End Rot, a common problem in cucurbits. It is hoped to demonstrate that targeted nutrition will help in reducing wastage and the requirement for fungicide application, to the benefit of producers in Wales.
The Operational Group wishes to recruit a suitably qualified professional with specialist knowledge of foliar feeding in horticulture to provide technical input and assist in the delivery of this innovative project.
