Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust requires a gritting and snow clearance service contract for car parks, roadways and walkways at its sites across Dorset and surrounding areas. This tender opportunity is not limited to the Trust and could potentially be used by other Dorset Wide NHS Trusts. However it should be noted that there is no commitment from these Trusts to take up the service.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust requires a gritting and snow clearance service contract for car parks, roadways and walkways at its sites across Dorset and surrounding areas. The Trust requires the supplier to obtain reliable weather forecast data in order to implement consistent and defensible decision making arrangements for precautionary salting, providing surety of treatment and protection against litigation. The supplier will be required to provide additional treatments on an ad-hoc basis within 8 hours of instruction from DHC representatives. The supplier will be required to operate a fleet of properly maintained appropriate vehicles and plane, with GPS tracking facilities, full back up and sufficient supplies of salt.
