Abstract

The voluntary sector has never been more needed. The pandemic has highlighted the enormous value the voluntary sector and volunteering bring to our society in Wales. The voluntary sector has huge assets it can now bring to creating a better Wales through the recovery – addressing the immediate and longer-term challenges. WCVA is working with others to support this. This project will focus on what needs to happen in practice to make this a reality. The project will support practical innovation. It will bring together a diverse group of people who may not normally work together. It will combine local action with national strategic influence. It will take a place-based and systems-leadership approach and give people the freedom and encouragement to work at pace.
