Total quantity or scope of tender

Boiler replacement in Johnstown Building, Brecon Building, Treforest Campus. This project will see the replacement of the gas boilers within the boiler house of Johnstown Building.The project consists of the disconnection, removal and replacement of the existing time expired Boilers, Pumps, flues, controls and associated accessories generally as detailed within the TB&A specification and as indicated on the layout drawings.

3 Conditions for Participation

Interested parties must be able to and document in their response:

Fulfill the requirements of the project in full;

Provide the information as requested in the quality assessment criteria;

Meet the programme deadline;

Hold the relevant level of insurance, as stipulated and provide evidence of;

Undertake a site visit in line with current restrictions;

Fully price up the tender as stipulated in the Scope of Works document - tender summary pricing sheet.

Additional Information

Your tender submission must be uploaded to the Sell2Wales portal Postbox.

Your submission must be received by the closing time and date of midday, Friday 7th May 2021.

You should allow adequate time for the loading of your documents so as to ensure receipt as the postbox will electronically close at the deadline time and no further submissions will be accepted.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

Community Benefits is key to ensuring sustainable development and ensuring that the wider social and economic

issues are taken into account when tendering works, service or supplies contracts. USW utilises the concepts

wherever possible to deliver those benefits and establishing ways of adding more value via the tendering process.

The University is committed to delivering Community Benefits through its sourcing activity.

Community Benefits are a non-Core requirement and will not be evaluated as part of the Tender.

Upon award the successful Bidder(s) will be expected to work with the University to maximise the Community

Benefits delivered through this contract. This will include, but is not limited to:

Securing positive outcomes that would benefit the University and the community they operate within for

example:

• Sponsoring student projects or competitions

• Student placements / internships

• Scholarships

• Guest Speaker slots / lectures

• Community project work

would anticipate delivering any benefits through this contract
