Abstract

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) and the North Wales Area Planning Board (APB) for substance misuse services currently commission a Service User and Carer Involvement service (Caniad), which has been in place for approx. 5 years. The service is a single point of access for all service user involvement activity, gathering feedback from people who have experienced mental health and/or substance misuse services plus the view of carers of those who are in receipt of either or both services. The current service has developed significantly over the last 5 years, and has influenced a number of service improvement across both substance misuse and mental health services. The current contract has been recently extended, but will expire 31st March 2022. Both BCUHB and the APB are keen to ensure that our approach to Service User Involvement and co-production is effective in making positive difference for people with mental health and substance misuse problems, their friends, families and carers. Please see tender documents available via the Bravo Solutions portal.
