VII.2) Information about modifications
VII.2.1) Description of the modifications
DfI has taken the decision to extend this existing contract that was due for re-procurement for a period of six (6) months. The end date is now 11 September 2021.
VII.2.2) Reasons for modification
Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee
Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, the Department (DfI) believes that the first condition set out in Reg 72(1)(c) PCR 2015 has been fulfilled in respect of this contract. This modification will enable DfI resource to be diverted to deal with Covid-19 consequences, and enable suppliers to continue to deliver services and better prepare for the next competition.
