Abstract

You are invited to tender for the provision of garden waste disposal services for Breckland District Council, Broadland District Council, Norwich City Council and South Norfolk District Council for the treatment and disposal of household green waste and a nominal amount of commercial green waste (please see individual lots below for details on estimated tonnages).Lot 1 - Norwich City CouncilNorwich City Council operates a paid-for, opt-in garden waste service. The service operates on a fortnightly basis, year-round but with no collections over the Christmas and New Year period – so 25 collections per year. Collections are made by Biffa and the current collected tonnage is circa 4,500 per annum. Norwich City Services Limited (NCSL) carries out grounds maintenance activities on behalf of the council and will generate approx. 500 tonnes per annum of additional green waste for disposal.
