Abstract

NWWT’s UMDIM Project wishes to appoint an organisation to work with us to survey and map the occurrence and density of Himalayan balsam (Impatiens glandulifera), Japanese knotweed (Fallopia japonica), American skunk cabbage (Lysichiton americanus) and Giant hogweed (Herculeum mantegazzianum) along the River Dee banks, working from Bala Lake, Gwynedd, downstream to Corwen, Denbighshire (see additional document 1 for full tender requirements and application form).

The successful organisation will be required to produce professional GIS layers that can be used be NWWT for targeted invasive plant species management on the River Dee.

We invite applications from enterprises across the UK, with priority for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (as defined by Welsh Government) or volunteer organisations. We welcome joint proposals which show public-private partnership or applications.
