Abstract

Bedford Borough Council invites Tenders for the provision of Community Based Day Opportunity Services for people with a learning disability in the Bedford Borough. The Council is procuring the service as detailed in the specification, using an Accelerated hybrid negotiated procedure under the Light Touch Regime. This contract will provide person centred Day Activities and Opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. The service delivers group sessions. Where care management identifies that an individual may have additional support needs, one to one support is provided to enable the individual to access the sessions available. Sessions are provided throughout the week offering a range of activities and one-to-one access to community activities.The Service provide respite to families/carers as well as providing social and developmental opportunities which also promote independence to people accessing the services.
