The Council currently maintains approximately 30,000 trees across the Borough, those owned and managed by itself and also trees owned by the Highway’s authority, Herts County Council. III.1) Conditions for participation
III.1.1) Suitability to pursue the professional activity, including requirements relating to enrolment on professional or trade registers
List and brief description of conditions:
The Contract Manager shall have a minimum of a Level 3-4 qualification in arboriculture or a closely related field (as per the Arboricultural Associations Qualification framework).Each crew shall have at least one member who has or can show they are working towards a Level 2 (craft level) qualification (as per the Arboricultural Associations Qualification framework). Examples are C&G/NPTC or Lantra Awards ‘Licence to Practise’ level 2 qualifications, BTEC or C&G Level 2 Certification, RFS Certified Arborist (Level 2); ABC Level 2 Certificate in Arboroiculture; ISA Certified Arborist; or EAC European Tree Worker. To undertake aerial inspections the climber will require either 7 years experience as a climbing arborist; possess a level 4 qualification in arboriculture; or a professional tree inspection certification
