II.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Advance team, within Opportunity Sheffield, is seeking to purchase individual places on existing taught courses of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Managing Safely course and the IOSH Working Safely course. • Places will be purchased on taught courses being delivered between April 2024 and March 2025. The participants may be referred to receive training at any time during the contract term on an ad hoc basis when the individual is identified. It would be expected to host the participant on the next available training session or otherwise as agreed with the participant or their employer. • These training courses shall be delivered by an approved IOSH Awarding Organisation either in person, from an approved study centre, or online. Training facilities for face-to-face delivery need to be within the Sheffield Local Authority area. • Individuals shall achieve a nationally recognised IOSH Managing Safely Certificate or IOSH Working Safely Certificate. • Training will be delivered by suitably qualified and experienced IOSH tutors holding relevant qualifications and experience. • All required information for participants will be passed to the training Provider by Advance • All joining instruction and joining details will be passed to participants by the selected Provider. • These courses are for employed individuals who wish to upskill or change career so must be delivered at appropriate times to accommodate working individuals.
