Abstract

As part of the Council’s Adult Care Accommodation Strategy, it has been agreed to redevelop the former Garth Olwg Care Home into a new accommodation with care to support people with learning disabilities. The purpose of this project is to develop a new accommodation with 22 units in Garth Olwg, Church Village. This will have supported accommodation and day centre provision on site. Further details are contained within the Outline Brief on eTenderWales. The Council is looking to develop a strong partnership with an organisation that can take the lead in helping us to shape (and develop) the facility and the services within it. The nature of the partnership will be defined through any procurement process, but to help the Council to understand what could be delivered the Council wishes to attract expressions of interest from Registered Social Landlords (or similar organisations) that could help to shape and deliver projects that achieve very clear outcomes. This Market Consultation exercise is an opportunity for potential providers to participate in shaping the Council’s procurement strategy and gain insight into the proposed development strategy. Potential providers who are interested in this opportunity are invited to download the Request for Information (RFI) questionnaire via the eTenderWales portal: www.etenderwales.bravosolution.co.uk (search for ITT: 109931) and complete no later than 12 midday on Friday, 10th May 2024. Potential providers who submit a questionnaire may be invited to a dialogue and/ or question and answer session with the Council.
