Description of the contract

Hywel Dda Health Board ("HDUHB") has awarded a contract for the provision of a Rubrik Managed M365 Solution subscription renewal across the Health Board. This contract is essential for the Cyber Security team as it facilitates the backup of Health Board files and systems within Office 365 and the Azure platform. The Rubrik solution provides malware secure backups to conform with mandatory Cyber requirements which state the Digital Services team must ensure files and systems are backed up and such backups are secure from malware Cyber-attacks. The licence should the Health Board suffer a malware attack where all clinical and administrative systems would need to shutdown provides guarantees that the systems can be recovered from a backup protected from malware attacks to avoid any operationally catastrophic affects. Without such an agreement it can take months for organisations to recover from a malware attack.

The Health Trust Europe ("HTE") ICT Solutions Three (3) framework agreement (ComIT3 - HTE-011006) is compliant with UK/EU procurement legislation and provides a compliant route to source entire information communication technology and digitisation requirements across the complete IT vendor and value-added reseller landscape ranging from hardware, software, cybersecurity and computer science solutions. This framework includes several potential providers who have achieved inclusion on the framework following a qualification process and procurement approached the a suppliers with links to the Welsh economy.
