Abstract

This project contributes to the implementation of the Thriving and Peaceful Communities theme under the Belfast PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan. To create at least five pieces of original cross community, bottom up and professional artist facilitated pieces of work, through four collaborative projects across the city, each on a North, South, East and West basis.

Each project will comprise two cross community pairings linking two similar arts genres. It will include capacity building, arts facilitation and skills development for the future. The fifth project will involve the capturing the live story line to produce a short documentary at the close of the 4 projects.

Overall, the projects will showcase the diversity of cultures and heritage across the City, will explore different narratives expressed through different art forms/ genres. Budget £695,744 Participants = 480 (+16 for project 5)

The project forms part of the Belfast PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan, which is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB)
