Abstract

The project requires the provision of station design services that detail and cost all civil engineering work required, as well as the execution of that work, to enable a clean ‘plug and play’ installation of replacement gates, including any hardware required to support remote management capabilities at 14 stations/sites (including 1 test centre), as well as replacement of platform validators (PVALs) across 94 stations/sites (including 1 test centre), all of which we plan to purchase as an outcome of the ‘Gates and Platform Validators’ supplier tender. In addition to the above, four stations are currently being targeted to receive gates with remote management capabilities for the first time, which will require increased levels of design and build effort, and there are plans to expand to 39 more stations/sites with platform validators (PVALs) to support PAYG expansion, all subject to final approval and funding.

Expression of Interest
Afternoon,
Thankyou for registering interest in this bid. While we have extended the deadline to support a request to do so, the number of Technical Questions (TQ) submissions are very low. This is an essential enablement contract and with the clarification deadline closing next Tuesday (6th May) we would very much appreciate your support in understanding if you intend to bid. We ask that if you have decided 'not to bid' could you please withdraw yourself from the interested parties list. We are very much interested if you are unable to bid due to any of the following to aid our understanding of the slow take up:

- Tender submission staff not available at this time.

- Unable to match the timescale schedule of works proposed.

- Contract value of currently agreed stages is too.

- Too difficult to bid based on information supplied.

- Only able to offer the 'Design' element and cannot partner
at this time.

- Anything Else? Please explain as all feedback is welcome.
