Engagement process description
The primary objective of this market engagement is to:
• Understand the current market offerings for continuing healthcare systems.
• Explore innovative solutions and best practices in the industry.
Scope of Engagement:
The scope of the engagement includes but is not limited to:
• An existing digital platform that meets the NHS framework for an end-to-end solution designed to manage patients, care packages, and payments
for all pathways, including, but not limited to, Mental Health and Children.
• System functionalities and features that support patient management, care coordination, and data integration.
• User interface design and usability.
• Streamlining administration processes and enhancing transparency for faster All Age Continuing Care (AACC) and Continuing
Healthcare (CHC) decisions.
• Integration with other data solutions to ensure seamless interoperability.
• Compatibility with all devices to ensure accessibility and usability across different platforms.
• Ability to utilise data from across the four nations where applicable.
• Compliance with regulatory and security standards.
• Data residency requirement, data must be held within Wales or, at a minimum, within the UK
• Integration capabilities with existing healthcare systems and technologies.
• Support and maintenance services
In line with the Procurement Act 2023, NHS Wales Procurement Services, in collaboration with NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee, wish to
hold a Market Engagement event to meet with service providers to determine the availability of a digital system to support Continuing
Healthcare in Wales.
The Preliminary Market Engagement event will be held virtually, via Microsoft Teams, across two days. The event will consist of a presentation to the market, on Friday 2nd May 2025, to give an overview of the project and give the market an opportunity to ask questions in an open forum. This will commence at 10:00am.
Day two will be held on Tuesday 6th May 2025, and will involve 1:1 sessions with the market in which they will be asked to provide a presentation of the solution they can offer. The scope for the provider presentations will be included within the group event on the 2nd May.
Next Steps - potential bidders who are interested in attending this event:
1. Are invited to express an interest to attend the group session on the 2nd May to the email address below – confirming the names of proposed attendees.
2. Please confirm if your organisation would like to book an individual slot on the 6th May 2025 to further discuss the requirements with NHS Wales
representatives and present on your organisations proposal.
3. Please confirm by Monday 28th April 2025 whether you require any materials in the medium of the Welsh Language.
