Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB) requires a single contract with SpaMedica in line with a time-limited outsourced solution to support a reduction in waiting list initiatives (WLI).
A prime concern for the commissioning Health Board is to treat patients as close to home as possible, and therefore deliver outsourcing solutions as close to the Health Board’s boundaries as possible. Also, experience of assessing patient willingness to travel has strongly indicated that closer locations will likely have a higher uptake.
Expected service start date will be immediately in April 2025, subject to mutual agreement between the commissioning Health Board and the awarded provider(s).
