Glasgow Building Preservation Trust require that the Quantity Surveying input is provided by a suitably qualified professional with demonstrable experience in historic building conservation. In the UK, this should mean a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, typically regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), with appropriate conservation expertise and a proven track record in the repair, restoration, and adaptation of heritage assets.
