II.2.4) Description of the procurement
In order to await the outcome of the Scottish Government review of Community Link Worker Services nationally and various other strategic drivers; Subject to the Council's internal governance approvals process, the Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership (EHSCP) intend to direct award contracts for a period of one year from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 to the incumbent Third Sector Organisations (with an option to extend for a further 6 months). This approach will allow the outcomes of the above to influence direction; and thereafter, for any procurement process to be completed.

To enable consideration of the outcome of the Scottish Government review of Community Link Worker Services nationally and various other strategic drivers.
The CPV code 85323000 refers to Community Health Services. This CPV code classifies contracts related to the provision of various health and social care services delivered within a community setting, rather than in hospitals.
