Description of the goods or services required

The National Trust is seeking quotations for the repair of 150 metres of dry stone wall within the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (BBNP) at a site known as Ty Mawr, close to Libanus. It needs repairing to enable it to function in the long term, as both a heritage feature and to help control the movement of livestock, enabling the management of important habitats.

The main / principal contractor must be registered with the Dry Stone Walling Association (DSWA) as a “Professional Member”, with a minimum qualification of “Intermediate Standard”. Any colleagues / sub-contractors must be overseen to ensure a similar standard of work is carried out.

Must be fully verified by Constructionline to Level 1 (Bronze) and a verified member of a SSIP scheme.

CDM regulations apply to this contract and therefore must be followed.
