II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The University requires to purchase from supplier-Cambridge Raman Imaging SrL the following:
STRALE – laser system for broadband stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in a full CH-stretching region detected in a single shot, with no need for sequential tuning of the emitted wavelengths, while preserving high spectral resolution.
Key features of the system:
Integrated pump beam modulator: modulation frequencies from 1 to 10 MHz
Central wavelengths: pump 792 nm ± 1 nm, Stokes 1030 nm
FWHM spectral width: pump ≤ 1 nm, Stokes ≥ 30 nm
Output power: pump > 70 mW @ 1–10 MHz modulation; Stokes > 180 mW @ 20 MHz rep. rate
Pulse energy: pump > 7 nJ, Stokes > 9 nJ
Pulse width: pump < 2 ps ; Stokes < 0.2 ps
Wavenumber coverage [cm⁻¹]: 2800–3100 (full CH‑stretching region)
Wavenumber resolution [cm⁻¹]: < 16
Synchronized dual output
Air‑cooled, compact footprint: 610 × 390 × 395 mm
Embedded control and power electronics
CHAMP - multichannel lock-in amplifier spectrometer is an optical spectrometer based on CRI proprietary multi-channel lock-in technology, ensuring extremely low electronic noise levels, high spectral resolution and short integration time. It has been designed to detect tiny variations, as small as one part over 10 millions, in few microseconds. A unique solution on the market for pixel-wise broad vibrational spectra reconstruction at megahertz modulation frequencies.
Key features of the spectrometer:
38 lock‑in amplifiers with independent AC (demodulated) and DC (average power) outputs
Triggerable integration‑time averaging up to 30 ms
Demodulation frequency range: 1–10 MHz
Demodulation phase: 0–360° in 32 steps per channel
Shot‑noise‑limited acquisition down to ~25 µW per channel
Noise‑equivalent power (NEP): < 20 pW/√Hz
Fixed filter time constant: 0.5 µs
Vertical resolution: 16 bit
Spectral resolution: < 9 cm⁻¹ *
Real‑time demodulated‑signal normalization
Pixel‑ and line‑triggered synchronized acquisition
USB 3.0 PC connection for fast data transfer
Two additional analog inputs and outputs for PMT acquisition
Following market research carried out by the academic research team, there are no other suppliers available in the market to supply this type of equipment in the form factor required.
The principal purpose of the contract is to acquire goods in connection with research undertaken by the University.
