The microscope should be suitable for assessment and evaluation of the ultrastructure of many different diagnostic sample types and should allow electron tomography at tilts of -70 to +70 degrees on araldite embedded ultrathin sections. The microscope should include a CCD camera capable of taking publication quality images with patient identification data embedded into each image. In addition, the equipment supplied must be suitable for a high through put, multi-user environment with a wide range of user experience and therefore must be easy to use.
