The insurance classes may include but not be limited to: Material Damage, Works in Progress, Business Interruption, All Risks, Money, Public, Property Owners & Products Liability, Employers Liability, Libel & Slander, Professional Negligence, Engineering Inspection & Insurance, Fidelity Guarantee / Crime, Group Personal Accident, Terrorism, Employment Practices Liability, Commercial Legal Expenses, Directors & Officers Liability and Motor.

Cynon Taf Community Housing Group will consider entering into Long Term Agreements with the bidder and/or the bidder's proposed Risk Carriers for three years (or three periods of insurance), with an option to extend the award period by up to two further years (or periods of insurance) subject to service, performance and cost.

III.1.1) Suitability to pursue the professional activity, including requirements relating to enrolment on professional or trade registers

List and brief description of conditions:

Potential suppliers will be required to provide an overview of services provided to the social housing, public

sector or other relevant property owners over the past five years and details of at least two clients currently

receiving similar services. Potential suppliers will be required to provide evidence of regulation by the FCA

or other appropriate insurance regulatory authority indicating the types of insurance the proposed insurer is

authorised to arrange or provide. Otherwise, as stated in Tender Documents.

The tender documents will require providers to produce

financial information in relation to the type of services

offered, including but not limited to two years reports

and accounts.

A minimum financial rating of A- from Standard &

Poors, or an equivalent rating Agency will be required of

all Insurance risk carriers.

The Contracting Authority will enter into this contract following a 10 calendar day standstill period starting on the day after the notification of the result. The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended) (The Regulations)

provide for aggrieved Parties who have been harmed or who are at risk of harm by a breach of the Regulations

to bring proceedings in the High Court. Any such proceedings must be brought within the limitation period

specified by the Regulations according to the remedy sought.

Following telephone meetings conducted this week, we would like to confirm the following:

Bidders will not be provided with Full Policy wordings or a full Breakdown of the current Premium structure as these are considered commercially sensitive. We consider that sufficient information has been provided within the Insurance Register document forming part of the Tender Specification.

Insurance Tender Information - Clarification
Following telephone meetings conducted this week, we would like to confirm the following:

With regards to the servicing of the lifts and boilers, our boilers are all serviced by Liberty Gas and the lifts are serviced by Cardiff lift, Schindler and Otis.

Large Claims - additional detail
Would Bidders please note the comments on large claims from the incumbent provider, as below: Apologies for the delay.

• Employers Liability claim dated 08/11/12 – Open with a total figure of £25,940

If is expected this file will be closed shortly as the matter has breached limitation. Insurers raised issue regarding causation and put the Claimant to strict burden of proof. No response has been received.

• Subsidence claim dated 21/07/14 – Open with a total figure of £44,000

Insurers have re-directed the claim to the Contractor (now in liquidation). A response is awaited. The Claimant is receiving support from a local Councillor.

• Fatality due to defective premises claim dated 28/01/16 – Open with a total figure of £40,027

This matter was reported as an incident that could give rise to a claim. No formal claim has been received. Insurers are taking a watching brief.
