Skipton Town Hall is a prominent building located on the High Street in Skipton, North Yorkshire. It is a Grade II listed building. There is a concert hall within the Town Hall with dated stage equipment and seating. The Council has successfully applied to Arts Council England to upgrade the equipment available in the concert hall. The funding must be spent by early February 2017. The Council requires the services of either one or various organisations to design and install a new stage lighting system, sound system, projection equipment, assisted hearing system and new seating. Because of the wide range of requirements and due to recent changes in procurement legislation, the contract has been broken into lots.

Short Description
The Council requires the design, supply and install of stage lighting equipment at Skipton Town Hall. The lighting scheme must provide the Town Hall with the means to effectively light a range of activities both on the stage and on the flat floor including but not limited to the following; — Wash, profile, par, Fresnel and follow spot lights and GOBOs — A control desk at a location to be confirmed — Design, supply and installation of lighting support infrastructure, including cabling, containment, dimmers, lighting bars and rigging equipment — Removal of obsolete equipment including current stage lighting — Determining the fixing and loading requirements and providing secondary supports if needed.

The Council requires design, supply and installation of stage sound/ PA equipment to enable a variety of activities to take place on the stage and in the concert hall. Equipment must have the ability to play CDs and link with MP3 players and PCs and equipment brought in by third parties. It must also link with the assisted hearing system.
