Abstract

This tender is for 2 English-language and 2 Welsh-language titles to be published in early 2018. The aim of Quick Reads, coordinated by the Welsh Books Council and supported by the Welsh Government, is to encourage people to look afresh at reading through entertaining, fun and short books. The production of four titles, each between 15,000 and 20,000 words and no longer than 128 pages, will be required. The books will follow the same format and layout as the previously published titles in the series, as regard type size, the number of words on the page etc. The series has specific guidelines as regard content and language levels; therefore the Council will provide the services of a language editor who will be responsible for ensuring that the language levels used are suitable for the target audience. The content would need to be suitable for an age range of 14 years and upwards.
