The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason: absence of competition for technical reasons
Explanation
Bedfordshire Police have determined that the expansion of the existing servers is the most economically prudent route to take. The existing servers are Jetstor and VSPL are the sole provider of the goods and associated warranties within the UK.
This is based on the justification contained with Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii), where the supplies can be supplied only by a particular economic operator as competition is absent for technical reasons, namely the sole supplier rights for Jetstor servers.
This purchase is being made on the basis that VSPL are the sole providers of this server in the EMEA region.
