Abstract

Provision of Minor Works, including:

— supply and installation of level access showers consisting of slip resistant floor covering, floor drain, wall mounted electric shower, extractor fan, bulkhead sealed light fitting pull cord light switch, captile strip, cosmetic tiling to walls replace hand basin and toilet,

— supply and install over-bath shower: wall mounted electric shower, extractor fan, bulkhead sealed light fitting pull cord light switch, cosmetic tiling to walls,

— ramp access: flagged ramp giving level access complete with handrails and mid rail,

— door widening: this work may involve relocation of electrics, new lintels, cutting back of brickwork, plastering, making good floor, new door, casing and architraves,

— provision and installation of specialist equipment such as wash /dry toilets, rise /fall basins, rise /fall baths, changing tables, power-operated base /wall units, work surfaces and remote taps,

— electrical Installations e.g. additional sockets, lighting,

— low cost works: handrails, grab rails, half steps, door widening, level access thresholds, ramps, kitchen work surfaces, non-slip flooring, toughened glass /laminated, door furniture, wash hand basins, lever /remote taps

— hardstand for cars allowing for disabled access,

— extensions: adapted bedroom /bathroom extensions, via mini-competition

— heating: boiler replacements, radiator modifications thermostatic valves

— any other specified supplementary works, including electrical, builders and landscaping works in association with the above.

The contractors will be required to carry out minor works and adaptations construction works on occupied domestic properties within the City of Salford.
