Abstract
1. The purpose of the scheme is to remove the existing ford at Cae Gwyn, Bronaber and replace it with a Bridge (low water crossing). Works are being carried out to reduce risk of pollution of the Afon Edern from vehicles using the ford. Pollution prevention and Environmental considerations are of the upmost importance during the construction works.
2. The scope of the works for this scheme will include the following:-
• Site clearance/ Tree branch removal to improve access,
• Fabrication of Steel Bridge Deck
• On site construction of bridge abutments and erection of bridge deck
• Fencing and wall accommodation works.
3. The proposed works will be carried out in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the NEC4 ECSC.

Description of the contract
