Seed Cleaning Equipment (URN B1-2)

Description of the goods or services required

To construct and install a platform-supported seed cleaning equipment system for the de-awning and the fine cleaning grass seed (other products may be processed). Raw seed will need to be lifted from delivery vehicles into the cleaning assemblies by mechanical means and turned/processed in the indented cylinders and fine cleaner to generate clean product, with this and waste product discharging from the unit via a hopper system into material handling (Tote) bins. The bins will be transported around the unit using forklift tele-handlers. All containers and system components must be bird and vermin proofed. The unit must be provided with an integral dust extraction system suitable for the purpose. The Supplier will be responsible for the manufacture and installation of all supporting platform assemblies (assumed to be a steel framed structure of some sort) and for ensuring that safe access systems needed to operate the plant are in place. The unit will be installed into a new building to be constructed by the Buyer. The construction contractor will provide a 40A 3-Phase electrical supply and a compressed air cleaning line. The Supplier will undertake the system design (including confirming dead and live load implications) and provide design drawings for the purpose of coordination into the construction contractor’s proposals. The Supplier must include for the supply, installation, commissioning and initial 12-month warranty of the Seed Cleaning Unit.

The value of the equipment is estimated to be above OJEU threshold. The Buyer is currently preparing a strategy for developing the procurement of this item of equipment which will be confirmed shortly. Potential Suppliers are invited to submit their interest in this opportunity up to the commencement date stated in this speculative notice.
