BEIS is seeking to appoint a contractor to provide Insurance Advice regarding the department's New nuclear negotiations.
The Insurance adviser for this project will be required to undertake the following:
— review relevant contract documents in respect of insurance relating to the project;
— undertake a risk review of the project and identify the major exposures and how they can be mitigated by insurance, where possible; and
— review and advise on the scope of the proposed insurance programme and its adequacy.
For nuclear liability:
— advise on insurance considerations to support the UK ratification of the 2004 Protocols to the Paris and Brussels Conventions on nuclear third-party liability; and
— generally advise on nuclear insurance products available within the market.
