II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Abellio ScotRail is seeking proposals to undertake the fitment of LED internal saloon/cab lighting on 40 x 2 car class 158 units, currently on lease to Abellio ScotRail (ASR) from Porterbrook (PBK).
The purpose of this fitment programme is to benefit from energy saving and an increased light tube lifespan.
The proposal pricing should be based on a managed basis rather than labour only.
Materials will be free-issued for the modification, however the supplier is asked to price this as an optional item as part of this bid. Full details of which are available in the tender documents.
Tooling and means of asset protection are to be provided by the supplier in line with ScotRail’s procedure, no contract will be awarded for this specific work until the proposed contractor has successfully concluded ScotRail’s framework labour agreement process.
