The electrification of heat demonstration project aims to demonstrate the feasibility of a large-scale rollout of heat pumps in Great Britain and install them in a representative range of homes, alongside new products and services designed to overcome the barriers to deployment. BEIS is seeking to appoint a management contractor to provide overall programme management of the project and manage, monitor and coordinate 3 delivery contractors on behalf of BEIS; working closely with them to develop a shared approach to participant recruitment and leading the design of the home suitability surveys, installation and monitoring processes, collating and managing data, and disseminating the project findings. There is a possibility that the contract could be extended for up to a further 24 months in order to continue monitoring of properties. The possibility of extension will be at BEIS’s discretion and will depend on BEIS budgetary and approval processes, as well as best value for money considerations (including, without limitation, successful completion of the existing contract scope).
