    The new contract will build on the achievements of the VPA support unit provided by DAI and SGS, which developed regulations and tools and concentrated capacity building on the principle Government Agencies responsible for Forest Control. The VPA SU has also successfully supported a coalition of CSOs to develop a strategy to monitor forest governance reforms. It has helped establish a board to manage community project proposals financed through timber revenues. This new requirement will concentrate on building capacity of the private sector SMEs to engage new policies and requirements, to improve checks and balances across government services to secure greater accountability and with CSOs to monitor impacts. The total contract value is up to 8 000 000 GBP this is broken down as up to 6 000 000 GBP for the main contract and up to 2 000 000 GBP for the extension. Please note that this figure will include all applicable taxes.

    To sustain multi-stakeholder reform processes that underpin timber trade agreements across 5 countries. The countries are Liberia, Ghana, Guyana and Republic of Congo, the contract includes an option for additional services of the same type to be provided in either Vietnam, Cameroon or Central African Republic.
    The contract period is for 36 months with a possible extension period of up to 24 months. The value of this is up to a maximum of 8 000 000 GBP this is broken down as 6 000 000 GBP for the contract period and 2 000 000 GBP for the possible 24 month extension.     The new contract will build on the achievements of the InFit programme implemented by LTS. Reform of the Chinese market is critical to the success of global efforts to stop illegal deforestation.
    The contract is for 24 months and includes an extension option of up to 24 months. Total value for the requirement is up to a maximum of 3 500 000 GBP, this is broken down as up to 2 500 000 GBP for the 24 month contract and up to a maximum of 1 000 000 GBP for the extension option.
