Abstract

This notice is for an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the build element of the Cardiff Metro Transformation Project - Integrated Control Center, located at the proposed Taff's Well Depot, Ffordd Bleddyn Rd, Taff's Well, CF15 7RN. Scope: This EOI includes but is not limited to the following, a full scope and Stage C design specification and drawings will be made available to all tenderers prior to the tender process commencing: 1) Supply and install external facade and roof elements including all doors, windows and 'Green Wall' to western elevation. 2) Supply and install internal layout including but not limited to internal brick/blockwork, stud walling, suspended ceilings and floors, hard floors and coverings, internal doors including fixtures and fittings, all plaster board, plaster work, sound insulation, fire stopping, fire proofing to different specifications to different parts of the building, first and second fix joinery including skirtings, archtraves and door frames, male and female bathrooms, shower rooms including both first and second fix plubming and painting and decorating of all parts of building. 3) Integration of building development with third party contractors such as MEP and signalling to ensure staged handover of building to Client. 4) The form of contract will be NEC Option C. 5) Responding to this EOI does not commit the supplier to making a formal tender submission at a later date. 6) The formal tender will be issued through Sell2Wales around late October to early November (subject to design availability) 7) Interested suppliers will be required to complete the Alun Griffiths suppliers questionnaire before being accepted as an approved supplier. On successful completion suppliers will be contacted direct by the project team to arrange informal 'get to know you' session and will be invited to the next available 'Meet the Buyer' event. 8) The purpose of this EOI is to add potential building contractors to our current data base of suppliers. 9) The formal tender will be available to others including those that do not register an interest here. The tender will however be issued through Sell2Wales and will automatically be sent to ant successful supplier who registers an interest here.
