II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Capital Theatre King’s Ltd seek to procure the services of a mechanical, electrical and public health engineering services (MEP) consultancy for the design of the transformational refurbishment of the Listed King’s Theatre in Edinburgh as further described in the appended procurement information document and notes below:
The MEP Engineers will be an integral member of an architect lead design team comprising separately appointed team members consisting but not restricted to lead architect, specialist theatre consultant, acoustician, heritage interpretation designer, civil and structural engineer, fire engineer and acoustician.
The MEP services engineers are required to demonstrate experience and expertise in the delivery of similar projects notably comprising the following key project characteristics:
— complex refurbishments,
— listed premises,
— heritage status and design integration,
— transformational theatre activity solutions such as heritage visits, learning and participation and commercial daytime activities.
