Northern Regional College is placing this voluntary transparency notice to alert economic operators of its intention to modify the contract ‘CFT1077590 - DfE - NRC — online content resource provider’ in accordance with Regulation 72(1)(b)(ii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. It is intended that this modification will increase the current contract period by 2 years and its value by GBP 46 000. This transparency notice does not place any obligation on the authority to enter into this modification.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Northern Regional College wish to engage with a supplier for the provision and implementation of an online learning resource library for:
— curriculum provision in areas including IT, interactive media, project management, communication, leadership and career development;
— continuing professional development (CPD) provision in areas including instructional design, Moodle, IT, PRINCE2, web development, marketing, microsoft office and social media. The College is taking forward a project to provide an integrated and networked facility which will support the development and delivery of courses using blended learning delivery methods. It will also integrate with and leverage existing investment in digital learning through enhancing use of the Colleges Digital Learning Environment (DLE) and expand its utilisation in line with the Digital Learning Strategy 2016-19. The College currently uses Moodle as its DLE.

Explanation:
This modification is permitted under Regulation 72(1)(b)(ii) as a change in supplier to would cause substantial inconvenience/duplication of costs for the contracting authority. This modification will allow continued service provision for the new academic year.
