II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Staffordshire wishes to commission a Staffordshire wide sexual abuse service for victims, regardless of whether the crime has been reported to the police or not. Sexual abuse victim’s wishes and feelings will be at the heart of service delivery.
The service will provide information, advice, guidance, signposting and one-to-one support for males, females, children and adult victims, both current and historic, as well as make onward referrals to other specialist agencies such as domestic abuse, mental health, SARC, etc. Partnership working with agencies, in particular those operating within the criminal justice arena, is an integral part of the support system for sexual abuse victims.

Increase of the value of the contract from GBP 602 770.55 to GBP 678 549.55.

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire
Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:
Since the publication of the original contract award notice, additional funding has been made available to recruit an additional one (1) Children and young person's independent sexual violence advisor (ChiSVA) role within the county of Staffordshire. In accordance with regulation 72(1)(b) it is necessary to procure additional services to the original scope from Staffordshire Women's Aid to complement and enhance the current delivery model for victims of sexual abuse in Staffordshire. Staffordshire Women's Aid has built up a detailed understanding of the requirement and any change would mean significant inconvenience, duplication of costs and material risk to the authority.
