II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The authority has an initial list of vehicles (included with the tender documents on YOR tender) which it requires the vehicle telematics devices fitting to. During the life of the contract, the provider may be required to install additional vehicle telematics devices over and above this list. However, the authority does not guarantee to purchase any additional telematics devices. The individual components of the safety system are desirable requirements and so the authority does not guarantee to purchase any of these from the provider during the contract.

Lotting was considered, but the authority requires the safety systems and the vehicle telematics system to be able to link up and so is looking for one provider to supply them both. The estimated values stated in II.1.5) and II.2.6) are based on the whole life cost of the telematics system being fitted to all the vehicles listed in the tender and the safety systems being fitted to future vehicles.
