Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, it is a place where you can expand your horizons and develop among like-minded people. The Richard Huish Group is an independent charitable organisation established by Richard Huish College, an academy sponsor approved by the Department for Education, to support local schools. Richard Huish has a clear vision to provide exceptional education and training through the delivery of a holistic and vocational curriculum. Huish is one of the leading inspected state sixth form colleges in the country and regularly ranked amongst the best state colleges nationally for A Level results.
As a Tier 4 Sponsor with UK Visas and Immigration we welcome applications from students around the world to study at our elite English college alongside British students.
Catering requirements on site include a refectory for breakfast, mid-morning break and lunch, Costa Coffee outlet, other food outlets, vending machines and hospitality events, both in and out of core times.
Oak House Accommodation
Oak House is our purpose-built student accommodation which opened in September 2017. This House offers our students a more independent living experience in preparation for university life and beyond. Oak House is walking distance to college, allowing for easy access into college life, both academically and socially.
Oak House offers a fantastic communal area and living space downstairs and has both single and twin bedrooms. All rooms are en-suite. Catering requirements are breakfast and a three-course evening meal to be provided each day.
The contract/s covers the scope for the provision of all catering services on each site plus send-out meals to two local primary schools from the Taunton Academy and meals for Oak House at Richard Huish College 7 days per week.
Contract value over the two of sites is circa GBP 475 000 per year: Richard Huish College GBP 322 000 and the Taunton Academy GBP 157 000.
The tender will be managed on a group basis; however, the college and the academy will require individual operational budgets and contracts and may wish to appoint the supplier they would like for their particular site. As the contract will not therefore necessarily be awarded on a group basis, suppliers will have the option to show additional financial benefits on a separate upload if one or more site were to be awarded to one supplier.
The contract/s will be awarded for 3 years with a possible extension of 2 years by mutual consent and on the same terms and conditions as the original contract/s.
Please note the site visits will be held on 16 April 2020 at the same time at each site. Suppliers are to arrive at the relevant site reception 15 minutes prior to breakfast and mid-morning break. Suppliers will leave site after mid-morning break and return 10 minutes prior to lunch service. With regard to Oak House this will be visited to view the evening meal.
Please note that no further unit site visits will be held after this date.
Each suppliers’ site visit attendees will need to be notified to Ruth Lile by 13 April 2020.
Suppliers’ sales and operations teams should be made fully aware of this requirement for them to have time to plan resources for these visits to be undertaken.
