New Childcare Facility - Ysgol Maenofferen - Blaenau Ffestiniog, N Wales

Description of the goods or services required

New Childcare facility within the grounds of an occupied Primary School in the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. The project will be a Design and Build format including external works and SUDS provision.

The building to be modular or another alternative Modern Method of Construction.

Access to the proposed location within the site is difficult due to a pinch point between the kitchen and boundary wall. Therefore careful consideration to be given to this either by means of reduced sizes, SIPS construction or craning over the railway to the site

The Employer, Gwynedd Council, invites proposals for the provision of a modular building for child care provision at the above primary school on a JCT Design and Build procurement contract.

The project comprises the design, installation and commissioning of 1No modular building as shown on the Indicative Plans.

Allow for sub structure works to include excavation below footprint of new Building to be installed on designed & installed foundations which will form part of the tender / Contract.

The design of the classroom buildings shall provide the required accommodation that must comply with relevant standards for this type of building.

The contractor shall submit and obtain Building Regulations approval and pay all associated vetting and first inspection fee.

External groundworks, landscaping etc will be carried out as part of this contract.
