Abstract

Construction of a lean-to extension as the first part of a tranche of work at South Caernarfon Creameries' site in Pwllheli. The construction will be in a conventional industrial form with a raft foundation, steel framework, stainless steel drainage, composite panel envelope and resin flooring. Associated internal screening works within the factory. Associated widening of the road. (All as per sketches attached) The MEP/M&E will be a seperate contractor, to simplify this opportunity and allocate specialisms appropriately. If the Contractor would like to tender for the MEP/M&E also, that should be stated in the expression of interest. The Client team is Integrated Food Projects as Project Manager and using Darnton B3 and SDA as design consultants. The Contractor will become the Principal Contractor for CDM, IFP will be the Principal Designer. The Contract will be the JCT Minor Building Works 2016 with Contractor's Design. Performance Bond and Parent Company Guarantees will be tender requirements, assessed as part of the process, not critical to success. Contractor's Design elements will be minimised to those which the Contractor can easily sub-contract, such as cladding detailing. Collateral Warranties to the Employer will be sought, using standard JCT SCWa/E templates. Interested Contractors will return Pre-Qualification Questionaires via Sell2Wales. Tenderers will be contacted through the platform and then then approached directly about the opportunity. Tenders will be single stage competitive tendering over a four week period, the number of Contractors will be limited via this process.
