Tai Tarian is seeking to engage contractors with a proven track record of delivering best practice on comparable contracts and are able to work pro-actively with Tai Tarian to assist in delivering its social and environmental agenda within the communities in which it operates. The cost of this contract is expected to be approximately 150000. The works involves replacement of defective mortar, taking down and rebuilding brickwork to selections or entire elevations, replacing steel columns and lintels and roof renewal. In several streets in Croeserw.

All works on/in the properties will be carried out under the JCT Intermediate Building Contract 2016.

Tai Tarian is seeking to appoint 1 (one) Contractor to this contract with an anticipated completion of 26 weeks.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

Tai Tarian is committed to contributing to the social, economic and environmental well-being of the wider community. Consequently Community Benefits clauses will be considered as part of the proposed procurement as Core to address socio-economic and/or environmental issues.

The ‘Core’ approach means that Community Benefits are being ‘bought’ as part of the subject matter of the contract i.e. will be evaluated as part of the tender process.

This means, as part of their tender response, potential contractors will be asked how they will deliver ‘community benefits’ through the contract.

The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
