Abstract

Dunbia is building a modern , efficient abattoir in its Llanybydder site. The new plant will need to meet all the latest Health and Safety (CE) requirements and will need to have full warranty on equipment and structures as well as pre agreed guarantees on performance KPI’s & timelines which the supplier will be responsible for delivering as Dunbia cannot afford delays or interruptions to its supply chain. All works associated with building the Cattle abattoir will need to be in accordance with BRC, FSA, USDA and UK multiple requirements and other relevant legislative bodies. Each supplier will be required to certify compliance with these standards and ensure delivery of these standards on time so as not to compromise the overall project. Areas that are covered by this notice are as below:- 1 - To modify existing lamb boning hall to new layout, facilitating new beef line installation. SCOPE: - Relocate existing part of boning hall into new location - Design, fabricate, supply and install conveying system making new layout fully functional. - Upgrade existing control system to provide the same level of automation as existing setup. - Wire and connect all new and relocated motors, inverters etc. - Commission system into full operation. NOTES: - Allow only for nights and weekends work on site - More detailed information can be released after signing Non Disclosure Agreement with Dunbia UK. 2 - Mechanical, civil and electrical works in existing boning hall facilitating new beef line installation. - To relocate and recommission rotary vacuum packing machine - To relocate and recommission VS95 vacuum packing machine - To build new vacuum pump room - To relocate and recommission vacuum pumps - To update RFID system to match new boning hall layout - To update sprinkler system to new despatch chill layout - To install: a/. Sliding door between Palletising and main Chiller (re-use existing door) b/. High Speed door between Packing and Palletising (re-use existing door) c/. New dock leveller and RS door for Fresh pack Loading bay d/. Air curtain at bone discharge conveyor e/. Dividing wall between Fresh Pack and Palletising - length 15m - To manufacture stainless steel washing platforms - 3 of. - To create wall opening for bones discharge conveyor - To build new lean-to bone shed 3x4m - To reinstate sprinkler system in future chills 3&4 - To modify medium pressure system to fit new boning hall layout. NOTES: Allow for out of factory production hours work only Weekend and night work will be possible All works inside factory require food grade finish.
