Explanation:
Personnel with the critical knowledge experience and skills of internal ballistics required for this course are very limited. Searches for suppliers with access to this knowledge have returned only one viable option. Correspondence with Imperial College London (ICL) has identified that the institution has retained the services of the only Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the field of internal ballistics (within the UK) with the ability to develop and deliver an IB training course of the necessary depth and quality required by Dstl.
