Staffordshire County Council has identified a need for additional care homes with nursing capacity across the County, and is considering the feasibility of building such Care Homes within the County of Staffordshire for the provision of high quality nursing care via a Joint Venture approach. Staffordshire County Council would like to gauge market interest in this approach for the development of two 70 bed Nursing Care Home within the County of Staffordshire in Tamworth and Lichfield via a Joint Venture
Staffordshire County Council (SCC) currently has a number of potential sites across the County which could be used for Care Homes with Nursing.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Staffordshire County Council is considering the feasibility of a Joint Venture enterprise with a developer for the purposes of developing two Care Homes in the County of Staffordshire (Tamworth and Lichfield) to deliver Nursing Care provision.
The Joint Venture will result in a development of two 70 bed new build Care Homes. This is to gauge market interest in this approach and is only seeking a contractor at this time, the Council intends to undergo a secondary commissioning exercise to seek a partner for the care provision.
It is intended that this service solution will allow the Council to achieve cost effective placements for individuals with nursing needs and also improve the Council's ability to place efficiently.
There may be a number of sites with differing mobilisation dates.
